The Mindset Code
I started off like many of you, not knowing what I wanted from life. I had no purpose and I was simply getting through my days. I used to change my mind every minute about what I wanted to do. I left school with no GCSEs and then went straight to college. While retaking my GCSEs and then going onto my A levels, things really started to get interesting for me. College opened up my world vastly because I started to understand my abilities and skills. I didn't think I was smart enough to do anything prior to this. I later went onto university and completed a degree. Like so many people, in my early days I lacked self-confidence, but I began to grow through my experiences.
The daily 9-5 grind was not for me.
Pressure from my dad to get a ‘normal’ job grew after graduation but I didn’t like the idea. I got a job to keep him happy and it lasted just 9 months before I eventually left.
I found my first passion in music.
As a child, I loved music just like my mum. I bought my first record by Micheal Jackson and started collecting music at 7 years old. In my college days I continued to collect and started to make compilation tapes that I sold to students. From selling tapes and buying DJ equipment I became a top West End and International DJ and my confidence grew. I realised I had good communication skills and a natural feel for business. I even picked up a MOBO Awards nomination during my DJ career. One day while DJing in a club, I had the idea to promote my own club nights because I was bringing so many people to parties. I went on to become one of the top West End club promoters after that night. Myself and my business partner at the time won The Bar & Club Awards ‘Best Promoter Awards’ in 2007. I stayed in the club industry for 14 plus years and retired in 2011.
Music helped me with my second passion for property.
I always had an interest in the property market because of my dad who was a plasterer by trade. As soon as I bought my first house at 26 years old I began to save to buy properties as investments. I managed to buy a series of properties that generated income and equity growth that still looks after my family to this day.
Life kept giving.
I later use the same principles to open a food shop and a street food buisness. Being self-employed and going through all sorts of businesses and personal growth made me learn so much about life. I felt like I had a lot to offer so I decided to give back and serve people. I began the coaching journey to help people with their mindsets so they could reach their potential.
Semi-Retired.
Today I live between two countries, and travel around the world and help as many people as I can. I still have a property portfolio in the UK. I partner in different businesses. I am a son, a father , a husband and a friend. I love being a mindset coach. Life has taught me you can have anything you want - you just have to go after it.
